Brian and I went camping over the weekend. It rained most of the time, including the drive there and back.

I always sleep during car rides; I can't help it.

Brian woke me at one point, because the pouring rain was coming through the roof and wetting my things.

"There's a towel behind you", he said helpfully.

"It's ok", I said with self assurance (albeit a little groggily) "I've got an umbrella here."

The dear boy sat quietly and let me figure it out for myself. I looked at him after I'd firstly attempted to open the umbrella in the confines of the car, and then watched as the rain simply splattered off that, onto my things again.

And he was sitting there with the biggest grin on his face, enjoying my blonde-ness for all it was worth.
