Tell us about your kiss...
21st July, 2004 - 5:11 p.m. No boundaries
You know, it occurred to me last week that no one at art knows me as the ditzy, clumsy, blonde girl. Somehow I've managed to stay upright, with my paintbrushes and pencils in their right places, alll year. It was obviously this realisation that was my downfall. I went to one of my teachers' opening night for his art exhibition on Friday night. There was a crowd milling outside the building. We were all dressed up, and it was all very nice and arty...until I went to leave, and realised I'd left my keys in my car. Parked opposite the building entrance with the crowd. When the RACQ man arrived, I quietly begged him to turn off the flashing orange lights, but he rolled his eyes and replied "I'm not risking getting run over for the sake of a little embarrassment." Put in my place, I watched silently, face burning, as he fiddled around with his gadgets and opened the door for me - to a round of applause from the other students from my course who'd since arrived. So it seems "Larrielou" has found a new place to call home.
