On a much lighter note, I thought I'd share some of my artwork today. This is my sculpted head so far. I am leaving it fairly... ordinary, and am planning on adding expression through a coccoon-type surrounding, made of light tissue and muslin fabric delicately wrapping around the head. This is a painting in response to a Sidney Nolan artwork, called "Mrs Fraser". We had to pick something we appreciated about the artwork and translate it in our own. I liked the mood of his piece, and chose the same figure (in a different pose). The mood is supposed to be somewhat ambiguous - like, you're not supposed to know if she's free or lost. This is one of my figure drawings, done today. And This is a drawing of one of Michaelangelo's statues.
